From January 25 to 28, the Bolzano Exhibition Center and its tradeshow Klimahouse were once again the center of energy-efficient and sustainable construction in Italy. The crowd of visitors from all over the country was also correspondingly large. On the four days of the tradeshow, a total of 35,753 visitors both from within the sector and consumers came to Bolzano, representing an increase of nearly 50% over the previous year.
“This year’s Klimahouse has exceeded all expectations,” said Gernot Rössler, President of the Exhibition Center, with delight. “During all four days, there were great crowds both in the tradeshow and in the conferences. The visitors, the exhibitors, and the conference participants were all completely satisfied with the tradeshow.”
This is also demonstrated by the results of the survey carried out by the Bolzano Exhibition Center on 926 visitors. A total of 87.5% of those surveyed returned home with an impression of the tradeshow that was either very good (24.2%) or good (63.3%), 10.8% judged the tradeshow to be satisfactory, and only 1.0 % had a negative overall impression of the tradeshow.
Furthermore, it emerges from the survey that 77.2% of those questioned had attended the Klimahouse for the first time. The visitors who were surveyed agreed overwhelmingly that the tradeshow provided all important information that is expected beforehand (84.0%). In addition, it provided those questioned with innovations and novelties (80.6%). At least 88% of the visitors who were surveyed agreed that the city of Bolzano is the ideal venue for a tradeshow of the Klimahouse sort.
The results of the survey additionally show that 85.2% of those questioned came to the tradeshow from outside of South Tyrol. A total of 78.8% came from Northern and Central Italy, while 6.1% of those visitors surveyed came to the tradeshow from the southern provinces of Italy.
For the first three days of the tradeshow, Klimahouse was accompanied by the international conference “Building the Future” in which 1,200 experts from the field participated. On top of that, a series of sessions were held (ANIT and Röfix) that drew another 940 participants, while the Green VillageTechs - Cooperation Exchange registered around 500 people.
At the Klimahouse Forum in the Exhibition Center Pavilion, around 2,000 visitors took part in 23 presentations. There was also great enthusiasm for the excursions to low-energy buildings that were organized by Renertec – the competence center for renewable energy – in collaboration with the Bolzano Exhibition Center. A total of 261 interested visitors took advantage of the seven tours.
The Exhibition Center management was extremely pleased with the great use of the Exhibition Center Shuttles. During the four days of the tradeshow, over 5,000 visitors availed themselves of the offer to park at the autostrada parking lot for free and then to continue on to the Exhibition Center by free shuttle bus.
