From 6th to 8th November 2008 Fiera Bolzano/Messe Bozen will serve as an international platform for the specialists of fruit cultivation and apple growing in particular. Its halls will be converted into showcases dedicated to the production, storage and marketing of apples. Interpoma 2008 will host an international conference entitled: “The apple in the world” .Experts from around the world will discuss how to respond to the different market’s request during the international convention The Apple in the World, held from November 6th to the 8th at the Fiera Bolzano in the region of Alto Adige, Italy.
The conference that will be held during Interpoma, the only exhibition in the world dedicated to the production, storage, and marketing of the apple, will come up against very current topics as the event’s organizer Kurt Werth explains. “There are three topics of this edition: The first will be the international situation, current trends and initiatives that institutions have implemented to favor the market, which will also be attended by representatives of the European Union and the United States. “The second topic will be the harmonization and new pesticide residue regulations in the European Union, which will be introduced by new community regulations expected by the end of the summer 2008. Finally the third topic to be discussed will be trends in organic apple production and marketing.”
With key topics and world famous speakers, the international convention on the apple is one of the Iterpoma’s most significant events. In fact, Interpoma has always had international appeal: the last edition, held in 2006 had 9,646 specialized visitors coming from 38 different countries and 273 exporting companies, of which one third were from abroad.
Visitors will receive a 50% discount if they buy their entrance ticket online (6.00 Euros rather than 12.00 Euros). They will also be able to go directly to the pavilion without having to go to the cashier.
